KUCHING: The Kuching police have announced that 11 roads will be closed in preparation for the closing ceremony of the Para Malaysia Games (SUKMA) 2024, set to take place this Saturday, September 28, at Stadium Perpaduan. The event is expected to draw a significant crowd, necessitating these closures to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic.

According to ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, the road closures will commence from 3 PM onward, leading up to the ceremony, which begins at 7 PM. The affected roads include:

- Wisma Sumber Alam Junction to Stadium Perpaduan
- Junction to Stadium Perpaduan from Jalan Stadium (front)
- Junction to Stadium Perpaduan from Jalan Stadium (back)
- Junction to Stadium Perpaduan from Jalan Diplomatik (front of Aquatic Centre)
- Entrance to Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre (1)
- Entrance to Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre (2)
- Padang Gasing Entrance
- Jalan Diplomatik (Squash Centre)
- Entry Lane to Bus Parking Area (next to Sarawak Stadium)

To ease access to the reserved public parking lot, the public is encouraged to utilize the following routes:
- From Sesco Roundabout: Make a U-turn at the Casuarina Roundabout and enter Jalan Casuarina to reach Jalan Stadium (Ring).
- From Jalan Diplomatik: Enter the parking area behind Sarawak Stadium.
Exit Routes for Vehicles
For vehicles exiting the Sarawak Stadium parking area, please follow these routes:
- Vehicles should exit via Jalan Diplomatik towards Demak.
- Vehicles from Jalan Stadium (Ring) should exit through Jalan Stadium (Ring) towards Jalan Casuarina.
