KUCHING, October 10 — Malaysia’s pride, Lee Min Qi, has taken the Miss Globe 2024 stage by storm with her captivating appearance in the National Costume Semi-Finals! The event, themed “Sembah Tamu,” pays homage to Malaysia’s rich heritage, symbolizing the nation’s warmth and hospitality towards distinguished guests.
Adorning the baju kurung pesak, a staple traditional outfit among Malay women, Lee embodies the essence of grace and elegance. Known for its versatility and significance, the baju kurung has been part of Malaysia’s culture for generations, evolving in style while staying true to its roots. Complementing her attire is the symbolic pohon beringin headgear, often seen in wayang kulit, representing the unity of life on earth, in water, and in the air.
Lee’s performance captivated the audience as she skillfully presented Malaysia’s traditional bunga pahar — flowers offered to welcome important guests. Her costume highlights Malaysia’s enduring hospitality, similar to the warm reception Malaysians have received in Albania.
