KUCHING, 12 November — SJK Chung Hua No.1 in Bandar Kuching received a major boost with an allocation of RM125,080 from MP Dr. Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen, set to fund the installation of a new LED display screen in the school hall. The contribution, provided through government allocation, is expected to greatly enhance both the visual and interactive learning experiences for students and teachers alike.
Dr. Kelvin Yii, who serves as the Member of Parliament for Bandar Kuching (P. 195) and Political Secretary to the Minister of Human Resources, expressed that this upgrade is part of a broader goal to enrich educational facilities within the region. He explained, “Installing an LED display screen enhances the visual experience for all events held in the school hall. It’s not merely aesthetic but educational, enabling more effective communication and engagement with our pupils.”
The new LED screen will be instrumental in supporting a diverse range of activities and presentations. From educational videos and live-streaming events to interactive learning modules, the screen’s flexibility is anticipated to add tremendous value to the curriculum, transforming the school hall into a vibrant hub of dynamic and immersive learning.
Dr. Yii added, “This flexibility will undoubtedly enrich our curriculum and offer our students a more immersive and engaging learning experience. It is a step forward not just for the current students but for many generations to come.”
The school plans to make extensive use of the new display for academic purposes, extracurricular activities, and special events, enhancing not only students’ learning experiences but also their co-curricular achievements. With the advanced display technology, SJK Chung Hua No.1 aims to bridge the gap between traditional teaching methods and modern, technology-enhanced learning.
Dr. Yii shared his hopes for the equipment’s impact, saying, “I hope that the students and teachers can make good use of this equipment and give full play to its functions so that their performance in academics and co-curriculum activities can be improved.”
As the tagline goes, “Yu-nited with You,” Dr. Yii’s commitment to supporting education and community development remains evident, reinforcing his dedication to bringing quality resources to Bandar Kuching’s schools.
