KUCHING: Malaysian singer and songwriter Aina Abdul is ready to hit the stage with her highly anticipated “AINA ABDUL IMAJI TOUR,” spanning three states: Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, and Kedah.
The tour will commence on December 14, 2024, at Arena Gemilang, DETAR PUTRA, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in Kota Samarahan. Following the Sarawak launch, Aina will perform at Zepp KL on December 27 and conclude at Dewan Mu’adzam Shah, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Sintok on January 11, 2025.
Organised by Aina Abdul Entertainment and managed by Altus Prohouse, the tour aims to showcase her debut album, “Imaji,” which was released last October. During a press conference held at the Waterfront Hotel, Aina expressed her excitement about connecting with fans across the nation, stating, “This feels like the perfect moment to take the melodies of the ‘Imaji’ album on a nationwide tour. It’s not merely a performance but a quest to engage with fans from diverse backgrounds and locations.”
By choosing three distinct locations, Aina intends to broaden her music’s reach beyond the Klang Valley, offering a unique opportunity to engage intimately with fans from rural areas and various walks of life, including students.
“A year provides ample time for the fans to savour the essence of ‘Imaji’ fully. Now, it’s time to bring this album to life on stage, where each song’s soul can resonate intimately with the audience,” she shared.
The tour is a significant milestone in Aina Abdul’s musical journey, and she expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support from Sarawak fans, especially after her recent visit to UNIMAS during Student Orientation Week 2024/2025. “Alhamdulillah, ticket sales are progressing smoothly. The warm reception from Sarawak fans has been heartening,” she added.
Aina promises emotionally charged and innovative performances, reimagining tracks like ‘Jangan Mati Rasa Itu’, ‘Puas Sudah’, ‘Kamu’, and ‘Bilang’ for the live stage.
