In a show of compassion and swift action, Bomba personnel, along with the deceased’s family members, carefully transferred the coffin onto a rescue boat. They then navigated through Sungai Ngemah to Rumah Panjang Guntur, finally reaching the Majau Bridge in Kanowit, where the journey continued on land.
Despite the challenging conditions, the firefighters successfully ensured that the deceased reached their final resting place with dignity. Once the mission was completed, Bomba personnel returned safely to the station.
This incident highlights the dedication of Bomba in assisting the public, even in the most challenging circumstances. With continuous heavy rain causing frequent floods in Sarawak, emergency services remain on high alert to provide aid when needed.
