Miri, 28 February 2025 – The Narcotic Crime Investigation Division (BSJND) from the Miri District Police Headquarters (IPD Miri) successfully organized a Healthy Lifestyle Program this morning at Kipas Square, Miri.
The program, which focused on exercise activities, attracted about 57 participants, all of whom are staff from various departments under IPD Miri. This initiative aims to encourage a healthier lifestyle among PDRM IPD Miri personnel and promote physical fitness.

To ensure the session was fun and effective, the organizers invited Coach Irene Ng, a well-known local fitness instructor, to lead the exercise session. Coach Irene brought her signature energy, guiding participants through a series of workouts designed to suit all fitness levels.

Encouraging Health and Team Spirit
The main objective of this program is to instil healthy habits among IPD Miri staff and encourage them to maintain a Balanced Body Mass Index (BMI). This is in line with efforts to ensure all personnel stay physically fit and mentally alert, which is crucial for their daily responsibilities as law enforcement officers.
Apart from promoting physical health, the program also aimed to strengthen friendship and teamwork among IPD Miri staff. Events like these create opportunities for personnel from different departments to mingle, build closer bonds, and foster better cooperation within the organization.
Kipas Square Becomes a Fitness Hub
Kipas Square was selected as the venue for this healthy program due to its open space, fresh air, and accessibility for participants. The atmosphere was lively and filled with positive energy as participants followed Coach Irene’s instructions with enthusiasm and smiles.
This Healthy Lifestyle Program reflects BSJND IPD Miri’s proactive approach in promoting health awareness while encouraging teamwork and unity within the police force. It also sends a strong message to the public – health and fitness matter, even for law enforcers.
With this successful event, IPD Miri hopes to continue such healthy initiatives regularly, ensuring their team stays fit, strong, and ready to serve the community with high spirit and good health.
