BINTULU: A shocking fire incident in Samalaju Industrial Park this evening saw six vehicles completely destroyed in a factory car park.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Centre (PGO) confirmed receiving an emergency call at 4.35pm, prompting the Samalaju Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) to dispatch an engine with four personnel to the location.

Upon arrival, the rescue team discovered that six parked vehicles were already engulfed in flames. Without delay, they deployed a 600-foot water stream with a single nozzle, using high-pressure water from the factory’s fire hydrant.

Thanks to their swift action, the fire was successfully brought under control within 20 minutes, at 4.55pm. Firefighters continued their efforts until 5.30pm to ensure the area was completely safe and that no hidden flames remained.

No Casualties Reported, Cause Under Investigation

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and there were no fatalities reported. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, and investigations are ongoing.

Authorities urge factory workers and vehicle owners in the industrial park to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or fire hazards immediately.
