SIBU, SARAWAK – A car was completely destroyed in a fire at the P-turn in the Kampung Sebaya area, Batu 34 Tamin, earlier today. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Centre (PGO), they received an emergency call regarding the fire at 11.43 am. A team from the Selangau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters Quickly Contain the Blaze
Upon arrival, the firefighters found the car already engulfed in flames. The Fire and Rescue Team (PKO) quickly acted to control the situation, using a stream of auxiliary water from the machinery pump to extinguish the fire completely.

“The fire involved a car that was 100 percent burnt at the P-turn in the Kampung Sebaya area,” the statement from PGO said.
Despite the dramatic scene, authorities confirmed that no injuries or casualties occurred during the incident.
Cause of Fire Still Unknown
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. It is still unclear whether it was due to a mechanical failure, electrical short circuit, or other factors.
Meanwhile, authorities advise motorists to remain vigilant and ensure their vehicles are well-maintained to prevent unexpected fires.
