The event was officially announced during a press conference attended by Kapitan Tan Kun Gee, Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, and Councillor Mok Chuang Ping. A total of 800 lanterns have been generously sponsored by Lion City Singapore Hainan Chicken Rice Sdn Bhd, with partners Calvin Keong, Phang Ching Shiung, Lee Gin How, and Benny Ho playing a key role in this charitable contribution.
