BINTULU, March 27 – A four-wheel drive was completely destroyed in a fire at Simpang Forest Com, Jalan Kemena, this morning.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre (PGO), an emergency call was received at 10.53 am, prompting a quick response from the Bintulu Fire and Rescue Station (BBP).

Operations Commander Senior Fire Officer (PBK) I Eric Wilson Jutin stated that fire engines arrived at the scene at 11.04 am, approximately 10 kilometres from the station. Upon arrival, they discovered that the black Mitsubishi Triton Lite had already been completely engulfed in flames.

“The fire brigade immediately carried out the extinguishing process using a single stream of water from the engine pump. The fire was completely put out by 11.22 am,” he said.
No Casualties Reported
Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the estimated losses.
