She stressed that negotiations on Sarawak’s rights under MA63 must be approached with patience and thoroughness as they encompass various important aspects for the state’s future. “This is a long journey. The dialogue cannot be rushed, as it involves crucial matters for Sarawak. We will continue to engage with the Federal Government and all relevant stakeholders,” she added.

Datuk Sharifah Hasidah made these remarks during an interview at the Hari Raya 2025 Welcoming Ceremony at Wisma Sabati on Monday. The event was not only a celebration but also a reflection of Sarawak’s unity and strong communal bonds.

“Alhamdulillah, the event was very lively. The strong public presence proves that we uphold a close-knit relationship with each other. We also saw the welcoming ceremony hosted by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg at BCCK, where people from all races and religions gathered in celebration,” she said.

She highlighted Sarawak’s unique spirit of harmony, where Aidilfitri is not just an ethnic celebration but a festival enjoyed together as one big Sarawakian family.

Earlier, Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari attended the welcoming ceremony of Sarawak Economic Development Council (SEDC) Chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Dato Husain.
