KUCHING: Manjeet Sidhu, the President of Persatuan Pemulihan Ikhtiar Sosial (PPIS) and the Chartered President of the Lions Club Kuching Unity, recently took part in a significant UNICEF-hosted session focused on advancing children’s rights, education, and advocacy efforts across Sarawak. The event brought together a wide array of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to review and discuss the 2026-2030 UNICEF Country Programme Document.

In the gathering, Sidhu shared key insights on areas in Sarawak that could benefit from increased attention and improvement in the realm of children’s welfare and educational opportunities. “Teamwork is the dream work,” Sidhu emphasized, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts between organizations to create impactful changes in the community.

The meeting was also an opportunity for Sidhu to engage with various NGO leaders who share similar goals. Among them was Dato Dr. Hartini Zainudin, a long-time friend and a respected figure in child advocacy and welfare.
