KUCHING, Jan 19 – The Ministry of Women, Family, and Community Development has stepped in to support the family of the late Wan Khairul Nizam Wan Abdul Kadir, who tragically lost his life in an accident along Jalan Stutong.

Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri emphasized that this assistance aims to ease the financial and emotional burden of the grieving family, particularly as Wan Khairul Nizam’s five children are still young and attending school.

“This initiative includes emergency assistance funds to ensure the family receives the necessary support. I personally visited the family to offer my condolences and to understand their situation better,” she said.

The Minister also mentioned that counseling services are available for the widow, Jamilah Hassan, 42, who may require emotional support to cope with the loss of her husband.

“If she feels overwhelmed or needs someone to talk to, we are always ready to provide counseling,” Nancy assured.

During the visit, she handed over contributions from JKMS and the National Welfare Foundation to Jamilah and her children, aged between 5 and 18 years.

The late Wan Khairul, who worked as a Cargo Operations Officer at MASkargo Sdn Bhd, tragically passed away on Jan 14 while commuting to work on his motorcycle.

His passing leaves a significant void in the family, but the Ministry’s proactive measures reflect its commitment to providing aid and solace to those affected by unforeseen tragedies.
