MUKAH, SARAWAK: A motorcycle was completely destroyed in a fire near a petrol station along Jalan Mukah-Oya earlier today. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Centre (PGO) received an emergency call regarding the fire at approximately 4:14 PM. Responding swiftly, a team from the Mukah Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) was deployed to the scene.

According to the operations commander, the fire had already engulfed the entire motorcycle by the time firefighters arrived. The Operations Response Team (PKO) quickly initiated firefighting procedures using an auxiliary hose to control and extinguish the flames.

Motorcycle Destroyed, No Casualties Reported

Authorities confirmed that the motorcycle was completely burned, with an estimated damage of 100 percent. However, no individuals were injured in the incident.

While the cause of the fire remains unknown, investigations are expected to be carried out to determine whether it was due to an electrical short circuit, fuel leakage, or other possible factors.

Public Urged to Stay Vigilant

Following the incident, authorities reminded motorcyclists to conduct regular maintenance checks on their vehicles to avoid potential fire hazards. Petrol stations and motorists passing through the area are also urged to remain cautious and report any suspicious incidents to emergency services.
