At a press conference held on September 19, 2024, Minister of Women, Early Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, expressed her unwavering support for the para-table tennis athletes. She highlighted their exceptional talent and dedication, stating, “They are exceptional athletes.”

Training Regimen and Injury Prevention

As the last day of intense training concluded, Fatimah emphasized the importance of transitioning to lighter workouts to minimize injury risks. “Today marks the end of our rigorous training schedule. From now on, we will focus on light exercises to keep the athletes in peak physical condition,” she explained. This careful approach underscores the team’s commitment to ensuring their athletes are fit and ready for competition.

Fatimah conveyed her hopes for the team’s performance, stating, “I hope the players can secure gold medals in the upcoming table tennis events.” Her encouragement resonates deeply with the athletes as they prepare to represent Sarawak on a national stage.
