KUCHING: The Pikabol Podium Ace and Podium Project teams made a strong impression at the 2025 Pickleball Piala Pusingan YB Datuk Seri Hajjah Nancy Shukri (PDSNS), showcasing their talent and hard work.
The Pikabol Podium Ace team, featuring players like Izzul Aizuddin, Emilio David, Adam Ashraf, Hii Kuong Sing, Liong Woei Hua, Eugenia David, Athilia Miasara, and Klarissa Amelia Bong, earned 3rd place in the team competition. Their teamwork and effort paid off with this fantastic result.

The Podium Project team, created to give newer players experience, also performed well. The team, including Elson Lee, Kho Ru Jie, Muhd Asyraff Ahmad Sairi, Lai Kim Leong, Tailend Muchi, Soo Hua Huat, Claudia Nasha Chai, and Tammy Goriss, made it to the knockout stages and secured 12th place, showing great promise.

In individual events, Pikabol players stood out. Emilio David finished as the runner-up in the Men’s Singles, with Izzul Aizuddin taking 3rd and Liong Woei Hua coming in 4th. In the Mixed Doubles (Age 80+), Izzul and his partner Yanling Ng finished 4th. In the Women’s Doubles, Eugenia David and Klarissa Amelia Bong took 2nd place, while Athilia Miasara and Nazerene Salleh Arif came in 3rd.
These achievements are thanks to the Pikabol Podium Coaching Programme, led by Coach Emmanuel David, fondly known as Coach Ujai. His focus on teamwork and developing players of all levels has been key to the team’s success.
The programme also thanked its sponsors for their support and looks forward to more successes in the future.
The PDSNS 2025 tournament, held from January 17–19 at venues like Damai Beach Resort and Wisma Sabati, has inspired many young athletes to take up pickleball.
