Kuching, 25 March 2025 – In the spirit of Ramadan, Pertubuhan Pembangunan Insan Sarawak (PPIS) organised a heartwarming Berbuka Puasa gathering for orphans from Peryatim and single mothers at Telang Usan Hotel. The event, held in collaboration with the Lions Club of Kuching Unity, aimed to foster unity, compassion, and support for those in need during the holy month.
A Night of Kindness and Giving
The meaningful event brought together 100 children and single mothers for an evening filled with love and generosity. Guests enjoyed a delicious iftar meal, received thoughtful gifts, and were presented with angpows as a token of encouragement.

The success of the event was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Supreme Ebanq Fintech (Sarawak) Berhad, Everise Supermarket, Dato’ Rashidah Bolhassan, and many individual donors. Their contributions helped create an unforgettable experience for the attendees, spreading the true spirit of Ramadan.

PPIS President and Chartered President of the Lions Club of Kuching Unity, Manjeet Sidhu, shared heartfelt words of encouragement during the event.
“Ramadan is a time of giving and reflection. Through this gathering, we hope to bring joy to the children and single mothers, reminding them that they are not alone. PPIS remains committed to supporting the underprivileged and fostering a caring community,” she said.
