KUCHING, March 31 – The spirit of unity and festivity was alive at the Sarawak Premier’s Aidilfitri Open House today, as approximately 10,000 visitors gathered at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) to celebrate the joyous occasion.

His Excellency Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, alongside his wife, His Excellency Datuk Amar Puan Sri Hajjah Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, warmly welcomed the public to the grand event. The open house provided an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to come together and celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with their state leaders.

A variety of traditional Hari Raya delicacies were served, adding to the festive mood as guests enjoyed dishes such as ketupat, rendang, lemang, and an assortment of kuih-muih. The warm hospitality extended by the Sarawak Premier and his wife was deeply appreciated by those in attendance.

Among the distinguished guests present were His Excellency the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by his wife, Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd. Sanusi. Also in attendance were YB Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Asfia bin Awang Nasar, Speaker of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly, with his wife, Dato’ Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Mohd. Iskandar.
