KUCHING, Sept 26 – The excitement in Kuching is palpable as Sarawak’s para bowling team extends their golden streak at the Para Malaysia Games (Para Sukma) 2024. On the second day of this prestigious event, the team clinched two more gold medals in the women’s singles TPB4 and open doubles TPB9 categories, further solidifying their position as a powerhouse in para sports.

A Remarkable Performance by Nur Syazwani Marais

Dominating the Women’s Singles TPB4 Category

In a remarkable display of skill and determination, star bowler Nur Syazwani Marais secured her third gold medal at the Para Sukma. Competing in the women’s singles TPB4 category, Nur Syazwani showcased her exceptional talent and resilience. Reflecting on her performance, she stated, “Today’s (Sept 25) game went really well. I managed to catch up and build new momentum.”

Her triumph not only highlights her personal achievements but also serves as an inspiration for many aspiring athletes in Sarawak. With her eyes set on future competitions, Nur Syazwani expressed her optimism about the upcoming mixed doubles event, where she will team up with Abg Yahya Abg Azhar, her gold-winning partner from the Para Sukma in Kuala Lumpur.

He praised Megalanes Sarawak at Emart Batu Kawa, highlighting it as the best bowling centre in Malaysia and a vital asset in boosting the state’s chances of success in future competitions.
