Held earlier in December, it welcomed participants from countries like Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Taiwan, along with Sarawakian youth. This new platform aims to nurture future stars and give them opportunities to shine.
Sarawak’s Culture in Focus
The festival proudly displayed Sarawak’s unique culture by blending traditional music and fashion with modern styles. From traditional Sarawakian costumes to contemporary couture, SIFMA 2024 highlighted the state’s ability to embrace its roots while looking to the future.
The festival also shared its vision for the arts in Sarawak, including the upcoming Performing Arts Centre Symphony Hall, which will provide even more opportunities for local and international artists to collaborate.
A Community Effort
Dr. Geraldine expressed her gratitude to everyone who worked hard to make SIFMA 2024 a success. She thanked the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak, as well as the event’s sponsors, production teams, and volunteers.
“This festival would not have been possible without the dedication of so many people. It’s truly a team effort, and I’m so thankful to everyone involved,” she said.
A Bright Future for SIFMA
SIFMA 2024 has once again proven to be a leading arts festival, attracting global talent and celebrating Sarawak’s rich culture. It was a night of joy, creativity, and unity, leaving the audience inspired and excited for the future.
