MIRI, 27 July 2022 – A heartwarming rescue mission took place in Miri when a stray dog fell into a 7-foot-deep well. The incident was reported by a 64-year-old woman who immediately sought help through the MERS999 emergency line.

The complainant, an elderly resident of Miri, discovered the helpless dog trapped in the well behind her house. Worried about the dog’s safety, she quickly contacted the emergency services for assistance. Responding to the call, the Alpha Squad from the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (MHL) was deployed to the location.

Alpha Squad to the Rescue

Led by Pbt. (PA) Rhasuanzie bin Shamsuddin, the five-member Alpha Squad team arrived at the scene and immediately assessed the situation. With careful planning and teamwork, they managed to pull the dog out safely. The dog was unharmed and was handed over to the complainant, who had initially reported the incident.

Swift Action Saves the Day

This rescue highlights the dedication and efficiency of emergency responders in Malaysia. The quick action taken by both the complainant and the Alpha Squad ensured that the stray dog was safely removed from the dangerous situation.
