KUCHING: Residents of Kenyalang Park had an easier time applying for government welfare benefits today, thanks to the Mobile Service2U initiative by SUPP Pending N10. The event, held at Kenyalang Market, saw Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, Tan Kun Gee, and other community leaders assisting the public in applying for essential aid programs.
This initiative aims to help senior citizens and eligible individuals apply for important government benefits such as the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) and the Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB). These programs provide financial assistance, medical benefits, and discounts on essential services for Sarawak’s elderly population.

Making Welfare More Accessible
The Mobile Service2U program ensures that more people can access welfare services without having to travel far or deal with complicated application processes. By bringing these services directly to the people, especially in community hubs like Kenyalang Market, the initiative reduces barriers for those in need.

Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng highlighted the importance of outreach efforts like this. “We want to make it as easy as possible for our elderly residents to get the assistance they deserve. Not everyone knows how to apply or where to go, so we are bringing the services to them,” he said.
Strong Community Support
Many residents expressed gratitude for the initiative, as they could easily seek guidance from the SUPP Pending N10 team. Volunteers and comrades from the party played an active role in ensuring smooth registration, answering questions, and assisting with the required documents.
The Mobile Service2U initiative will continue to visit different locations, making welfare benefits more accessible to the public. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on upcoming sessions to ensure they do not miss out on government assistance programs.
