The second and third-placed teams, Kueh Brothers 1 and Azam Kasihnya Warisan’s second entry, received RM5,000 and RM3,000, respectively.

“This year’s Tatau Regatta has set new records, with 97 entries from 19 teams, making it the largest edition in the history of the regatta,” said Sikie. “The exceptional turnout and participation are a testament to the growing popularity of this event.”

Unprecedented Success with Massive Publicity and Attendance

The Tatau Regatta 2024 received an overwhelming response, drawing approximately 30,000 visitors over the course of the two-day event. A key factor behind this success was the event’s enhanced publicity efforts, including live broadcasts of the races on the Tatau Festival 2024’s official Facebook page, which garnered over 150,000 views.

Sikie attributed the event’s success to strategic location and effective promotions. “Tatau’s position along the Pan Borneo Highway played a significant role in attracting visitors from near and far. The convenient access allowed more people to experience the thrill of the regatta,” he explained.
