Police Apprehend Group of Teenagers for Stealing Motorcycle
KLUANG: In a shocking incident that sent waves through the community, a group of teenagers has been apprehended by the authorities for stealing a motorcycle in broad daylight at Taman Maywa in Langang Langang Kluang.
The incident, captured in a 59-second video clip, quickly circulated on social media platforms, sparking outrage among netizens. The footage depicted the brazen theft, prompting swift action from law enforcement agencies.
Arrest and Statement from District Police Chief
In a statement issued on Thursday, District Police Chief ACP Bahin Muhammad No revealed that the five suspects, aged between 13 and 18, were arrested in Kampong Bukit Batu and Felda Bukit Batu in Kulai on Wednesday.
According to ACP Bahin, the stolen motorcycle was intended for personal use by one of the suspects. Remarkably, four of the apprehended teens are still enrolled in school, while the fifth had recently completed secondary education.
Moreover, ACP Bahin clarified that the suspects had no prior criminal records and tested negative for drugs. However, they are currently in custody pending further investigation.
Legal Proceedings and Remand
The suspects are slated to be remanded until June 8th to facilitate ongoing investigations. The case is being pursued under Section 379A of the Penal Code, which pertains to theft.
