KUCHING, Sept 10 – A 26-year-old man tragically lost his life after falling from the third floor of a residential building along Jalan Matang here earlier today. The sudden and shocking incident has raised concerns among the local community, prompting swift action from law enforcement and emergency responders.

Police Receive Distress Call Regarding Fatal Fall

The incident occurred at approximately 5:25 PM, as confirmed by Padawan District Police Chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Radzi. According to Supt Mohd Irwan, the police were alerted by a distress call, immediately prompting the deployment of officers to the scene.

“The victim was confirmed dead by medical personnel en route to the hospital,” Supt Mohd Irwan said in a statement released this evening.

Initial Observations Rule Out Suspicious Injuries

Upon arrival, police and medical personnel found the man unconscious. Despite efforts to save him, the victim was pronounced dead during the transfer to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH). The initial examination of the body revealed no signs of foul play or suspicious injuries, leading authorities to classify the case as a sudden death.

“The initial observation on the physical body of the victim does not indicate any suspicious injury,” added Supt Mohd Irwan, emphasizing that the fall appears to be an unfortunate accident.

Body Sent to Sarawak General Hospital for Further Examination

The body of the deceased has been transported to the SGH morgue for further action, including a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The family of the deceased has been notified, and they are currently assisting the police in their investigations.
