KUCHING, 22 March 2025 – N13 Batu Kitang assemblyman, YB Dato Lo Khere Chiang, along with SUPP N13 Batu Kitang branch, organized a successful mobile service event at Taman Rekreasi Lian Hua, Capital Garden. Among those present were Gerald Goh, Councillor Amy Tnay, JKKK representatives, Kapitan, Penghulu, and other community leaders. The event aimed to bring essential government services closer to the people.

The mobile service saw a great turnout, with many residents eager to learn more about the Sarawak government’s initiatives. Programs like SKAS and the Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB) were the main highlights, providing financial and medical assistance to those in need.

Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) – A program that provides exclusive benefits and privileges for senior citizens in Sarawak, offering discounts and assistance in various services.

Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB) – Eligible senior citizens from the B40 and M40 groups can receive medical assistance of up to RM500 per year at private clinics and hospitals.

Who Can Apply? ✔ Sarawakians aged 60 and above
✔ Holders of “K” status on MyKad
✔ Household income below RM7,000

Sarawak Government Prioritizing the People

YB Dato Lo Khere Chiang expressed his delight at the success of the mobile service event.

“I am extremely blissful to see that our mobile service at Taman Rekreasi Lian Hua has attracted many residents who wish to find out more about the Sarawak government’s initiatives. The state government has always prioritised the people’s welfare by launching programs aimed at reducing financial burdens and improving quality of life,” he said.

He further added that SUPP N13 Batu Kitang, along with other SUPP branches, will continue their outreach efforts to ensure that eligible Sarawakians are aware of their entitlements and can fully benefit from these programs.

The mobile service initiative is part of the Sarawak government’s broader commitment to enhancing public awareness and accessibility to state welfare programs.
