KUCHING (Dec 25): The Anglican Church in Sarawak and Brunei, also known as the Diocese of Kuching, hosted its annual Christmas Open House at the Bishop’s House today, drawing a vibrant and diverse crowd.
The event brought together community leaders, interfaith representatives, and members of the public in a celebration of unity, love, and the festive season.
Anglican Bishop the Rt Rev Datuk Danald Jute, in his welcoming address, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming community participation.
“It is our honour and privilege to welcome each and every one of you and wish you a pleasant Christmas,” he said.
Bishop Danald emphasised the critical roles community leaders play in society, highlighting the importance of interfaith harmony.

Reflecting on the essence of Christmas, Bishop Danald reminded attendees of the universal love of God.
“God so loved the world. Not just Christians, but the entire world. We must share that love and serve our community, just as God in Christ gave himself for us,” he said.
