Beyoncé leads the pack with 11 nominations for her album Cowboy Carter, which mixes country, R&B, and acoustic pop. The album has sparked discussions about the Black roots of American music genres. With 99 career nominations, Beyoncé is now the most-nominated artist in Grammy history. However, she has yet to win the prestigious Album of the Year award despite four previous nominations.

Taylor Swift, who has six nominations this year, is competing with her album The Tortured Poets Department. Last year, she made history by winning her fourth Album of the Year award for Midnights.

Other top contenders include Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan, all of whom have had a major impact on the pop charts this year. Eilish and Lamar each have seven nominations, while Carpenter and Roan, two breakout stars, are first-time Grammy nominees with six nods each.

The 2025 Grammys will air live from the Crypto.com Arena on CBS and Paramount+. With over 20,000 entries across 94 categories, this year’s event promises to celebrate the best of music’s past, present, and future.
