SARATOK: In a tragic incident today, seven individuals sustained injuries after their car skidded and crashed at Jalan Simpang Kaki Wang in the SAPOM housing area. The accident occurred on June 9, drawing immediate attention and swift response from the local emergency services.
Victim Rescue and Medical Response
A 57-year-old woman was found trapped in the front passenger seat, while six other passengers were rescued by quick-thinking members of the public. The identities and the extent of injuries of the freed individuals remain unknown at this time. All injured parties were swiftly transported to Saratok Hospital by ambulance for further medical attention.
Emergency Services’ Swift Action
Firefighters from the Saratok station responded promptly to the distress call received at 12.23 pm. Upon arrival, they quickly assessed the situation and employed rescue tools to extricate the trapped woman from the front passenger seat. Once freed, she was handed over to the emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) and was transported to the hospital for immediate care.
