JPJ Sarawak’s ‘Ops Pengarah’ Cracks Down on Traffic Offenders

JPJ Sarawak took to Facebook on Saturday, September 7, to announce the results of the operation. A total of 716 vehicles were inspected during the operation, and 72 notices were issued to motorists who were found violating traffic regulations.

Types of Offences Noticed During the Operation

Out of the 72 notices issued, the offences included:

  4. Technical Violations
Technical violations such as faulty vehicle lighting, improper tyre conditions, and other mechanical issues were also part of the infractions noted during the inspection.
  5. Illegal Vehicle Modifications
Illegal modifications, including excessive tinting, unauthorized exhaust systems, and structural changes to vehicles, were among the violations highlighted by JPJ during the operation.

Complaints can be submitted directly at JPJ’s official complaint portal. The department assures that all complaints will be handled with confidentiality and will require the details of the complainant and the nature of the complaint for proper processing.

JPJ’s Continuous Efforts to Enhance Road Safety in Sarawak

JPJ Sarawak’s ongoing enforcement operations are part of a broader initiative to promote road safety across the state. The department remains committed to reducing road accidents and fatalities through vigilant monitoring, public education, and consistent enforcement of traffic laws.
