The victim, a 10-year-old boy, was taken to the Mukah Hospital morgue for further procedures. Authorities have urged parents to remain vigilant and ensure children’s safety, especially when near water bodies.

This tragedy serves as a reminder of the importance of water safety awareness. Authorities advise the public to be cautious, especially during school holidays when children are more likely to engage in outdoor activities near rivers and beaches.

The Mukah community is in mourning, and heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family.
