KUCHING: In a heartwarming display of community support and generosity, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat, TVS, and Masjid Al Hakim have successfully donated a total of four cows to 184 asnaf, or needy individuals, in the Kampung Muda Hashim area. This charitable initiative underscores the commitment of these organizations to aid those in need and foster a spirit of unity within the community.

The Annual Sacrificial Programme

Deputy Chairman of Masjid Al Hakim, Shaharoni Matnor, highlighted that the sacrificial programme is an annual tradition organized by the mosque. This year, the event saw significant collaboration from Bank Kerjasama Rakyat and TVS, showcasing the power of joint efforts in bringing about positive change.

“We organize this programme every year to welcome anyone who wants to join us. We announce to the congregation if anyone wants to participate in the sacrificial event, and there are specific parts allocated. There are also parties willing to organize the sacrificial event,” said Shaharoni.

Collaboration and Participation

The sacrificial programme was marked by the participation of approximately 70 individuals, including 20 staff members each from Bank Kerjasama Rakyat and TVS, and 30 members from Masjid Al Hakim. Their combined efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event and effective distribution of the meat to the needy.

Distribution of Sacrificial Meat

During the first round of distribution, a total of 77 kilogrammes of meat was allocated from one cow. This act of giving not only provided essential sustenance to the asnaf but also reinforced the importance of community solidarity and mutual aid.

Shaharoni Matnor shared these details in an interview with reporters at the TVS and Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Sacrificial Programme held at Masjid Al Hakim on Wednesday.
