PETALING JAYA: Police are currently investigating a disturbing incident that took place in Kuala Lumpur early yesterday morning, where unidentified assailants launched an attack on an entertainment outlet located on Jalan Yap Kwan Seng by hurling petrol bombs at the premises.

Dang Wangi deputy police chief Nazron Abd Yusof has confirmed the reception of a report regarding the incident, as reported by Harian Metro. The authorities are treating this incident seriously and are conducting an investigation under Section 435 of the Penal Code, which pertains to arson. If found guilty, the perpetrators could face imprisonment for up to 14 years and be liable for fines.

Nazron Abd Yusof stated, “Based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, the incident occurred at about 2.18 am (yesterday).”

The CCTV footage, which has since gone viral, captures the chilling moment when four individuals, riding on two motorcycles, halted in front of the premises. Subsequently, they launched two objects, suspected to be petrol bombs, at the entertainment outlet before swiftly making their escape. As of now, the full extent of the damage inflicted on the entertainment center and the losses incurred remains to be determined.
